My standard base map reflects the ever-evolving nature of cartography, continuously updated to represent the world as it stands at the time of publication. However, I also create globes based on historical atlases, including those never previously translated into globes, offering a window into a particular era of interest.

Whether you’re looking for a desk globe (up to 15” in diameter), a library globe (19” upwards), or an exhibition globe (up to 80”), I work closely with you to create a piece that aligns seamlessly with your vision. Globes are first printed in outline before meticulous hand-colouring using the finest quality watercolours, following longstanding globemaking traditions. This method ensures not only cartographic accuracy but also imparts a unique artistry to each piece.

Each globe is constructed using traditional techniques refined over centuries of evolving globemaking practices. Through my conservation work, I closely analyse historical globes to understand the materials and methods that have allowed them to endure. This research informs my approach, ensuring that the globes I create today are built to stand the test of time, ready to be treasured for generations to come.

Globe stands are crafted using traditional joinery techniques and sustainably sourced timber, ensuring both durability and elegance. Designed to complement each globe and its surroundings, they can be tailored to match existing furniture or fit precisely within a space. Every stand is meticulously constructed with customisable materials and finishes, from classic wooden designs to contemporary metal fabrications made in collaboration with specialist makers, creating a refined and enduring foundation for each globe.

I offer bespoke celestial globes that capture the beauty and wonder of the cosmos. Unlike terrestrial globes, which depict the physical world, celestial globes have been used for centuries to map the heavens, serving as tools for navigation, astronomy, and artistic representation of the night sky. My celestial cartography is meticulously plotted with over 5,000 observable stars, ensuring both accuracy and functionality.

Celestial globes can range from simple star maps using established stellar designations to highly decorative depictions of constellations. Historically, constellations have been shaped by mythology, folklore, and cultural traditions, with classical Western constellations drawing from Greek and Roman mythology, while Chinese, Indigenous, and other star lore traditions offer entirely different interpretations of the heavens. Illustrated figures on historical celestial globes bring these constellations to life, transforming the night sky into a grand celestial narrative.
