The Repair Shop - On the Road

Check out BBC’s The Repair Shop on the Road for a glimpse into the world of globemaking when Will comes to visit. I’m proud to be featured in the episode North West – The Biggest Clock Steve Has Ever Worked On, broadcast on Monday, 17th February on BBC One and available on iPlayer.

During Will’s visit to my workshop, I gave him a crash course in the traditional techniques of creating and restoring globes. Blending cartography, carpentry, and a range of heritage skills, my work involves both the meticulous restoration of antique globes and the creation of bespoke commissions. It was a pleasure to share the precision and artistry that goes into this delicate craft.
